Brevard County - Beaches, the Indian
River Lagoon and the Mainland
One of the fastest growing
areas in the country, known as The Space Coast, Brevard County is a popular
place to live with miles of beaches, tranquil sea breezes, ideal year-round
temperatures, shopping, entertainment, and recreation. Centrally located,
Brevard is within a few hours of Miami, Orlando, Tampa, or Jacksonville.
Only an hour away from Disney

waterway, make Brevard County a haven for both beach goers and boaters.
With average temperatures of 73 degrees, the climate is nearly perfect.
Average temperatures are 82 in the summer and 63 in the winter. The sun
shines 300 days a year with normal rainfall of 70 inches per year. Tropical
greenery, lushly landscaped neighborhoods, palm treed golf courses, bougainvillea,
and colorful bushes and flowers truly make this a tropical paradise.
Small town atmosphere joined
with all the amenities of the big city are a big draw for newcomers. Brevard
boasts all the cultural arts including symphony orchestras, bands, jazz
groups, art exhibits and cultural festivals all year long. The Maxwell
King Center continually offers big name entertainment year round, including
concerts, plays, and musicals. Whether you enjoy seafood or steak, dining
is a pleasure with restaurants ranging from 5 star establishments to beachside
cafes. If boating is your pleasure, many riverside restaurants offer river
access.
Education is a strong point
of Brevard County with the Florida Institute of Technology, the University
of Central Florida, Brevard Community College and Rollins College being
located here. A high level of education is also incorporated into our public
school system. Brevard high schools have had over 150 National Merit Scholars,
numerous awards at the State Science Fair, the International Science and
Engineering Fair, and other competitions in the past 10 years.
